Italian Splendor - Costa Classica cruise ship

Added: 09/30/2005

The Costa Classica cruise ship, built in 1991, was totally reconstructed in 2001 and became even more beautiful and charming. The interiors have been decorated by the famous Italian designers Pomodoro and Tadini. Now Costa Classica design is magnificent and modern with plenty of steel and marble, though angular and cold in some areas. Costa Classica is the embodiment of Costa's excellence and its unmistakable style.

Those who cruise much know that every ship is unique and the best of them last in the memory forever. The Costa Classica cruise ship is one of them. She is like wine, develops her taste as years go by.  Classica is one of the elder ships of the Costa Crociere Line and is more Italian than the younger ships of the company, built when Costa fleet became wholly owned by the US industry giant Carnival Corporation & plc group.

Costa Crociere S. p. A. was based in Genoa and includes the brands AIDA Cruises and Costa Grociere.  Now its fleet consists of fifteen liners in active service and five in order.  All Costa ships sail under the Italian flag in the Mediterranean, Northern Europe, the Caribbean and South America.
